It seems like Tokyo just ended, and maybe that’s because it did. But we’re back at it only a few months later, this time for the Winter Olympics in Beijing. My first time working on the Olympics broadcast for NBC was in 2008 for the summer games in Beijing. Back then, most of the team was on-site in China, while some of us worked out of 30 Rock in New York. This time, like Tokyo, we’re living in a different world, and most of us are remote. But what would’ve proven to be very difficult in 2008 was pulled off with ease in 2021, and will be again in 2022. Looking forward to another Winter Games, and helping producers tell the stories of the athletes through music.
